Before this project, we had pieces of the launch support plan, but the experience did not feel connected. The useful part was not only the finished page or workflow; it was the way the process made the next decision obvious. It took pressure off the team because the public-facing story and the internal next steps finally matched.
We were close to ready but could not tell how close. The launch checklist was in our heads, the team was anxious, and we had no structured way to verify that everything was actually done.
The pre-launch audit caught three things that would have been real problems post-launch. None of them were hard to fix, but we would not have found them without a structured check.
The launch went without major incident, which is the goal. Having an expert review the readiness before we went live was worth every bit of the investment.
